Awesome Photography Websites
I was taking a look around at some photographers websites to get some ideas for own and here are a couple that really caught my eye.
Bottle Bell Photography
Bottle Bell Photography was set up be
Ashley Lebedev. Several years ago Ashley changed the message she
wanted to send with her photography. She designed her website to
match her new style of photography. I really like the colors and
style of this website. Whenever you click on the homepage an intro
plays to help set up the mood of Ashley's photography. Having the
page links at the bottom of the page is different but because the
window is never really large. I would have liked to see more
professional information about Ashley Lebedev, such as a resume and
clients. The most distracting aspect of the website is the fact that
the photos take a little while to load. I can appreciate having a
large file to show the best quality but anyone with a slower internet
speed than my own would get frustrated. Overall though I am very
impressed with Bottle Bell Photography page.
Lara Jade
Lara Jade is a photographer that set
up her business as a fashion photographer in the UK when she was
young and recently moved to New York to set up a client base in New
York as well as UK. Lara's website is clean and easy to navigate.
When you click on a “book” you can see and scroll through the
photos on the right hand side of the screen. The set up is a little
unconventional but it works. If you want to see a certain image
larger all you have to do is click on it. At this point I would have
liked to see a separate window pop up but it takes you to a whole new
page to view the image. Unfortunately some of the images aren't
much larger than what is shown on the “book” page. Lara's site
is very straight forward and simple which has it appeal. I would
have liked to see an actual home page.
Paolo Boccardi Fashion Photography
There isn't a lot of information about
Paolo on his website. The most attractive part of his website is
that fact that when you are on the homepage and scroll down a whole
new image slides up to take the place of the current one. I haven't
seen a portfolio displayed this way before. Paolo's website is also
very clean and graphically pleasing to the eye. I just would have
liked to see more information other than a birthday on his website.
